Submission Guidelines

Sorry, we are not taking submissions at this time. Please try back in September 2026.

We are looking for talented authors and illustrators who share our passion for children's literature. Please follow these guidelines when submitting:

  1. Manuscripts: We are looking for fiction and non-fiction picture books, early readers, and chapter books. Stories should target ages 0-12.

  2. Word Count: We are looking for picture books (up to 1,000), early readers books (1,000-2,500), and chapter books (3,000-10,000).

  3. Format: Submit in a MS Word document. Include a brief synopsis and your full manuscript.

  4. Illustrations: Currently, we only accept submissions with illustrations.

  5. Email Submissions: Send to colorfulcrowpublishing@gmail.com with “Colorful Crow Kids Submission” in the subject line.

  6. Response Time: Expect a reply within 6-8 weeks.
