Vickie McEntire
Owner. Publisher. Advocate.
Vickie McEntire is a 2018 Georgia Author of the Year Award winner and the proud owner of Colorful Crow Publishing.
Born and raised in a small town in Northwest Georgia, Vickie began her writing journey after her three children were grown, going on to publish works ranging from children’s books—including Baby Birds and Little Bird & Myrtle Turtle—to poetry, with her collection Empty Nest, and features in magazines and anthologies such as Chicken Soup for the Soul.
A member of the Georgia Writers Association, Atlanta Writers Club, Broadleaf Writers, Chattanooga Writers Guild, Cartersville Area Writers, American Booksellers Association (ABA), and Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), she has long been a passionate advocate for both readers and writers. When she acquired Colorful Crow Publishing in 2024, it was a natural fit—because at the heart of everything she does is a deep belief in helping others succeed and reach their dreams of publication.
Vickie lives in Northwest Georgia with her husband, Dave.
